We believe that the gospel is Jesus. Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is all the world needs. Christians are those who have received this gospel by grace through faith. Every aspect of the Christian’s life is submitted to Jesus and His gospel, and so requires a change of heart. It is the vision of our church to reach our community with this gospel.
Sunday morning worship (10:15 a.m.) is when the church gathers to sing praises and to study the Bible. Pastor’s Bible Study (Wednesday 6:30 p.m.) is when the church gathers to worship, pray, in a more casual and relaxed atmosphere.
We believe that all Christians are called to be Jesus’ disciples. So you may ask, “How do I do that?” Small groups! DBC believes that spiritual growth takes place best in smaller groups of people who study the Bible together, love one another, and serve on mission together. DBC has small groups for all ages. These groups meet on campus at 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings. DBC also has other Bible study times during the week and discipleship groups that meet off campus as well.
What does it mean to send? DBC’s vision is to send the gospel of Jesus to a lost and hurting world. We do that by getting out of the pew and getting on mission for the gospel. We go into our city and around the world to share the gospel of Jesus that changed each of us, completing the circle of heart transformation. Someone was sent to us and now we send ourselves to reach others.
