This Week’s Prayer Focus – LSU BCM Lunch
This Week’s Prayer Focus – LSU BCM Lunch
We are followers of Christ who seek to know Him, connect with His church, grow in Him and go into the world with Him. The church helps through public worship, small groups and opportunities to serve.
We will be kicking off the BCM Lunches on Tuesday, August 26. Please help us serve a jambalaya lunch to the LSU students as they begin their fall semester. We will leave the church at 10:30 am. Please contact the church office, if you can help or have any questions.
Join us on Wednesday Nights at 6:30. Pastor Leigh is leading us in our Fall Semester Bible Study on 1st Peter. Michael is diving into God’s Word with our Youth in grades 6 thru 12. Our Children are absorbing God’s Word through fun activities and Bible stories. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Kids! Come join us for Hotel Noel! We are putting together a Christmas program with our DBC kids. Younger youth are welcome to join us! Come ready to sing! Rehearsals are weekly from 5:15 to 6:15 pm on Wednesdays.
The 2026 Abide Conference will be January 30-31 at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Registration will open on Monday, September 1. If you plan on attending, don’t hesitate to get your tickets because the conference typically sells out quickly. Group and alumni discounts are available. See Stephanie, if you have any questions.
Our Finance Committee is asking all ministry leaders to begin preparing their the 2026 Proposed Budget. If your ministry chair did not receive an e-mail or if you have an ministry idea that you would like the Finance Committee to consider for 2026, please contact the church office. Preliminary Budgets are due in the office by October 2.
Fall is just around the corner and so is our Fall Food Round-up for the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home. The Fall food Round up provides non-perishable groceries, paper products, and cleaning supplies. God works through these cooperative efforts to provide the non-perishable food needs for the Children's Home for an entire year! We will be collecting items thru October 6. See insert.
Students are returning to school and counselors may be contacting us about assisting with meeting the needs of a student. Please watch out for e-mails or text messages concerning needed school supplies and/or uniforms. Your assistance and support will be greatly appreciated.
As the new school year begins, we invite you to join our Sunday Morning Small Groups. If you are not already a member of a small group this is a great way to connect with other members of our church family. We have groups for all ages and each group begins at 9 am on Sunday Mornings.
We invite you to join our Serve Teams. Available team opportunities include Guest Services, Connect, Compassion and Cooking. Each team has a specific purpose to focus on as we serve each other here at DBC and throughout our community by simply signing up on the app.
Announcements should be e-mailed before Wednesday morning to office@dutchtownbaptist.org to be included in the bulletin.
You can text to give, by texting Dutchtown Church to 1-888-364-GIVE (4483). You will receive a reply with a new link for your giving. The code is not case sensitive.
