This Month's Plumb Line -Growing People Change
We are followers of Christ who seek to know Him, connect with His church, grow in Him and go into the world with Him. The church helps through public worship, small groups and opportunities to serve.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR!! The Signature Dish Challenge and Fall Friendzie will be Sunday, October 25, at 5 pm. Start thinking about who you can invite to come join us. The only other thing you need to do is bring your favorite dish (entrée, side or dessert) Everyone will then vote on their three favorite dishes and the dish with the most votes will be our Signature Dish Winner.
Kids will enjoy the fun at the Fall Friendzie. There will be games, activities, crafts and fun for the kids and their friends. Please register the kids for the Fall Friendzie using the app or the website . Make sure the kids bring a friend to join in on the “friendzie!”
Its time for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes! Shoeboxes are available in the foyer along with instructions. Shoeboxes should be filled with items for a child in the age range your select and returned by Sunday, November 15. Contact the church office if you have any questions.
“A Night at the Manger” Christmas Musical rehearsals have started on Sunday afternoons beginning at 5 pm until 6:15 pm. However, please note that we will not meet on Sunday, October 25, due to the Signature Dish Challenge. Contact Hannah for more information, questions, or if you would like to volunteer to help.
Sewing for a Cause will be meeting this month and plan to sew items for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. We meet on Sunday afternoons at 5 pm. Anyone interested in helping provide goodies to fill shoeboxes is invited to come sew. If you need assistance with your sewing skills, there will be somebody to help you. We have machines available to use. See Jo Ann with any questions.

Each week Dutchtown Kids have so much fun in the nursery and Kids Worship. If you aren’t volunteering and would like to join the excitement each week, let the Dutchtown Kids Team know, and Adria will add you to the rotation.
You can submit prayer requests on the DBC app or emailing the church at office@dutchtownbaptist.org. Urgent prayer requests can be channeled through the pastor or our leadership team.
TAP discs are located on a chairback near you. These discs help us stay better connected as we minister together. Please scan the disc with your phone and tap the “Next Step” card at the top of the screen. Complete and submit the information on the card to ensure we have your current contact information. The TAP disc also gives you the option to give electronically.
We invite you to join our Sunday Morning Small Groups. If you are not already a member of a small group this is a great way to connect with other members of our church family. We have groups for all ages and each group begins at 9 am on Sunday Mornings.
We invite you to join our Serve Teams. Available team opportunities include Guest Services, Connect, Compassion and Cooking. Each team has a specific purpose to focus on as we serve each other here at DBC and throughout our community. It’s easy to sign up on the app.
